Abstract

ABSTRACT Budi Wahyu / B 18031059 / 2021 / Criminological Analysis of the Distribution of Traditional Tuak Drinks by Communities in the Legal Area of Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency / Hj. Chairijah, S.H., M.H, PH.D., as 1 viii st advisor and Dr. M. Muslih, S.H., M.Hum., as 2 nd advisor. Tuak is a type of traditional drink that also contains alcohol, this traditional alcoholic drink is usually made from fermented rice (usually glutinous rice) using yeast and enzymes that are naturally available in yeast. The enzymes break down the starch in rice into sugar and the yeast converts the sugar into alcohol, which is a fermentation process. The purpose of this study was to determine and understand the factors underlying the circulation of the traditional tuak drink by the community in the Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, to analyze the countermeasures for the circulation of the traditional tuak drink by the community in the Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. In the writing of this thesis the author uses the juridical empirical research type, while the approach used is socio-legal research, which looks at the criminological review of the distribution of traditional tuak drinks by the community in the legal area of Tanjung Jabung Timur regency. There are several factors behind the circulation of Tuak Traditional Drinks by the Community in the Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, starting from economic needs and environmental factors. Furthermore, apart from the two factors underlying the circulation of Tuak Traditional Drinks by the Community in the Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, there is a main reason why the distribution of Tuak Traditional Drinks seems difficult to stop, namely the economic factor. Seeing the economic reasons as part of the basis of a human life cycle, it is not surprising if some criminals consider it a justification for committing illegal acts, including selling Tuak Traditional Drinks to get something or money without thinking about the consequences. Following up on the rate of circulation of the traditional tuak drink in Tanjung Jabung Timur, which continues to increase, therefore the government and the police have made countermeasures that are Pre-Emtive, Preventive and Repressive in nature. The suggestion put forward is that the public should have the courage to report to law enforcement officials if they know or see traffickers and the circulation of wine. This type of tuak occurs in their environment, this is so that the crimes caused by consuming these drinks can be avoided. Keywords: Criminological Analysis, Distribution of Tuak Traditional Drinks
