Rasdi, MM Keywords: Job Stress, Performance The increasingly complex demands in the current era, will make employees tend to experience work stress if employees are less able to adapt their desires to existing realities, both internal and external realities. Job stress according to Luthans (2011) is defined as an adaptive response to external situations that produce physical, psychological and/or deviations in organizational members. Performance itself according to Wibowo (2010), is the result of work that has a strong relationship with the organization's strategic goals, customer satisfaction, and contributes to the economy. From this understanding of performance, it can be concluded that performance is the activities carried out in the work and the results achieved from the work. Seeing the importance of managing work stress, the researchers were encouraged to take the title of the thesis "The Effect of Work Stress on the Performance of Employees of Pizza Hut Jambi Prima Mall Jambi City Branch". The research method that will be used in this research is descriptive quantitative method, because of the variables that will be studied in relation to it and its purpose is to present a structured, factual, and accurate description of the facts and the relationship between the variables studied, namely the influence of work stress and work environment on the performance of employees of Pizza Hut JPM Jambi City Branch. Methods of collecting data using a written questionnaire and library research taken with documentation by looking at the existing documentation at Pizza Hut Jambi Prima Mall Branch Jambi City. The number of samples in this study were 38 respondents. The data collected is primary and secondary data. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of work stress on employee performance at the Pizza Hut restaurant Jambi Prima Mall Jambi City Branch. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between the independent variables on the dependent variable. This can be seen from the R value of 0.507, R Square of 0.257, and Adjusted R Square of 0.236. Which means that work stress variables consisting of environmental factors, organizational factors, and individual factors affect the performance of employees of Pizza Hut Jambi Prima Mall Jambi City Branch.
