Abstract

ABSTRACT Nadya Alta Putri / 1700861201413/ Faculty of Economics University Batanghari Jambi/ The Effect of Motivation on Performance at PT. Jaya Indah Motor Jambi City / 1 st Advisor Dr. Osrita Hapsara, SE, MM /2nd Muhammad Emil, SE, MM The purpose of this study is to describe the motivation and performance of employees at PT. Jaya Indah Motor Jambi City and knowing the influence of motivation on employee performance at PT. Jaya Indah Motor Jambi City. This research includes the type of correlational research, using the research methods used is the survey method. The data retrieval technique with poll, the score obtained from the poll is then analyzed with a descriptive analysis that is poured in the form of percentages. Quantitative research is a study that works with numbers, whose data is tangible number (score or value, rank or frequency) analyzed using statistics to answer questions or hypotheses Research that is specific in nature and to make predictions that certain three affects other variables. PT. Jaya Indah Motor Jambi City is one of the official Suzuki dealers in Jambi City that sells new cars, car service and sales of suzuki car spare parts. To carry out its operational activities, PT. Jaya Indah Motor Jambi City really needs solid employees and a quiet office work atmosphere so that the company's goals can be achieved. The average answer score of 131 is that motivation is on the criteria. The lowest score of 122 relates to Employees being disciplined on the rules made by superiors. The highest score of 142 relates to Employees being able to develop initiatives in the workplace. the average answer score of 131 is that the performance is on the high criteria. The lowest score of 122 relates to Can complete the work according to the time that has been given. The highest score of 142 relates to All employees trying to complete work according to the set time. Motivation can affect performance because the number t counts 8,831 > 1,661. The Motivation variable was able to explain the Performance variable by 70.3% and the remaining 29.7% was influenced by other variables that were not studied in this study . If if motivation in PT. Jaya Indah Motor Jambi Branch increased by 1% hence the performance of consumers at PT. Jaya Indah Motor Jambi Branch will increase by 80.8%.
