Abstract

ABSTRACT (NOVIANTI MAHARANI / 1800861201298 / Human Resource Management / The Influence of Work Motivation on The Performance of Employees in The Field of Extraordinary Education at the Jambi Provincial Education Office / Mr. DR.SAID ALMAUDUDI, S.E, M.M., as Advisor I, and Mr. UBAIDILLAH S.E, M.M., as Advisor II.) This study aims to obtain an overview of work motivation and employee performance at the Jambi provincial education office in the field of special education. The data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires and carried out on 53 employees. The aspects studied are 5 dimensions of work motivation, namely physiological needs, security needs, social needs, self-esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. As well as the performance aspects studied include quantity, quality, punctuality, attendance, and ability to work together. The research methodology used in this research is descriptive and quantitative analysis. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the motivation of employees in the field of extraordinary education at the Jambi provincial education office for 13 indicators is in the good category, and the dimension that has the highest score is the dimension of security needs and the lowest score is the dimension of physiological needs. Employee performance shows that employees in the education sector are extraordinary at the Jambi provincial education office for 10 indicators in the high category and the dimension with the highest score is the ability to work together dimension and the lowest score is the attendance dimension. Work motivation affects employee performance by 21.3% and the remaining 78.7% is influenced by variables not examined in this study. Meanwhile, based on the regression equation, it can be seen that the coefficient value is 0.388 so it can be interpreted that the influence given by the work motivation variable on performance is positive.
