Abstract

BSTRACT The pupose to be achieved in this study are: a. To determine the supervision and performance of employees at the Jambi City Fire and Rescue Service. b. To find out and analyze the effect of supervision on employee performance at the Jambi City Fire and Rescue Service. The type of research used is quantitative research and the data used are primary data, the research method used is interviews and questionnaires. Slovin sampling is obtained by 40 samples. The analytical method used is simple linear regression analysis, the coefficient of determination of the results of simple linear regression analysis that is formed is as follows: Y 35.731 + 0.193 X. As for being able to see the coefficient of determination R square is 0.078. From the results of the analysis obtained, it is known that the results of R square indicate the influence of supervision of 43.8% on the performance of employees, therefore in the supervisory research that has an influence on performance, the average number of effects of supervision on overall performance is 43.8 and the rest 51.7% is influenced by variables not examined in this study. Based on the results of the research above, there are several conclusions as follows: Supervision variables are grouped into 5 main dimensions, namely Accurate, Timely, Objective and Comprehensive, Centralized and Realistic. At the Jambi City Fire and Rescue Service, it was considered very good with an average monitoring value of 172.8. Employee Performance Variables are grouped into 4 main dimensions, namely Work Quality, Work Quantity, Work Reliability and Work Attitude. The Jambi City Fire and Rescue Service is also rated very high with an average employee performance value of 174.5 Based on the results of the coefficient of determination of 48.3%, it shows that the value of employee performance is influenced by supervision, and the remaining 51.7% of the value of employee performance is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Suggestions Based on the results of the research that has been done, the suggestions that can be conveyed include the following. The results of this study are expected to be a benchmark and encouragement for the Jambi City Fire and Rescue Service to become a better organization. The Jambi City Rescue should also be paid more attention, although overall it has a good value category, the direct supervision carried out by superiors also needs to be adjusted according to the existing situation and conditions.
