Abstract

ABSTRACT QISTI COURNICOVA / 1900861201062 / 2023 / FACULTY OF ECONOMICS / FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT / THE EFFECT OF TOTAL LIABILITIES AND TOTAL EQUITY ON NET PROFIT AT SUB SECTOR FOOD AND BEVERAGES LISTED ON THE INDONESIAN STOCK EXCHANGE PERIOD 2015-2021/ 1ST ADVISOR Dr. PANTUN BUKIT , SE, M.Si / 2nd ADVISOR MASNUN, SE, M.S. Ak. This research is conducted to determine the influence of Total Liabilities and Total Equity on Net Profit silmutaneously and partially, and which variables have the most influence on net profit. The analysis method using multiple regression analysis, classical assumption trials (normality, multicolinearity, heteroskedastisity, and autocorrelation). The hypothesis tests used are simultaneous statistical test (test F) and partial (test t). The object of this study is Food and Beverages Listed on The Indonesian Stock Exchange for 7 years which is the period 2015-2021 selected by purposive sampling method. based on the criteria obtained 11 companies who become research sample are: PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP), PT Mayora Indah Tbk (MYOR), PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk (MLBI), PT Ultra Jaya Milk Industry & Trading (ULTJ), PT Siantar Top Tbk (STTP), PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (ROTI), PT Akasha Wira Internasional Tbk (ADES), PT Wilmar Cahaya Indonesia Tbk (CEKA), PT Sekar Laut Tbk (SKLT), PT Tri Banyan Tirta Tbk (ALTO), and PT Prasidha Aneka Niaga (PSDN) Based on the results, this research shows that Total Liabilities and Total Equity have a Simultaneously and significant effect to on Net Profit. While Total Liabilities partially affects Net Profit. Total Equity partially has no affects Net Profit. And the coefficient of determination is a 46,9% the rest is influenced by other variabels outside the study. The conclusion of this study shows that Total Liabilities and Total Equity simultaneously have a significant effect on Net Profit. Partially, Total Liabilities have an effect and are significant on Net Profit, while Total Equity has positive but not significant effect on Net Profit.
