Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the stages of implementing oil palm rejuvenation, to analyze the economic impact on plasma smallholders during the replanting period in Bukit Jaya Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The results showed that the oil palm rejuvenation process was carried out by seeding using polybags, felling using an excavator, and making planting holes using heavy equipment, followed by the planting process, the selected seeds were 12 months old, before the oil palm seeds were planted, they were given basic fertilizer at planting hole namely TSP fertilizer with a dose of 300 grams per planting hole. The next step is making the disc. The next very important process is fertilization, the fertilization process is carried out three times a year to meet the nutritional needs of the oil palm plant. After the plants are eighteen months old, the process of dousing or cleaning of the stems of leaves attached to the soil is carried out so that the nutrients in the plants focus on the fruit. The next process after the oil palm is 3 years old is the harvesting process. After the harvest is complete, the fruit is transported by truck and weighed at the Village Unit Cooperative, after weighing the truck will transport the palm oil to PT. Hindoli based on the results of the Wilcoxon test and statistical tests, it is known that sig. = o.ooo < 0.05 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Then the hypothesis is accepted, which means that there are significant differences in the economic conditions (income and employment opportunities) of plasma farmers in Bukit Jaya Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency before and during the rejuvenation period.
