Abstract

Saiyid Syekh,M.Si/2nd Muhammad Emil, S.E., M.M In this study, the objects of research were employees of the Jambi Province Cooperative and UMKM Office. This study aims to determine (1) work discipline (2) employee performance. This study used a qualitative method by processing primary data through questionnaires given to employees of the Jambi Provincial Office of Cooperatives and SMEs, a sample of 60 respondents was obtained. In this study the method of analysis, descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis of all research data was processed using SPSS version 20. The data collection method was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 60 respondents. The questionnaire was distributed directly to employees of the Jambi Province Cooperative and umkm Office. Respondents who were sampled in this study were respondents who worked at the Jambi Province Cooperative and umkm Office. Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Cooperative and umkm Office of Jambi Province, which can be seen from the results of the correlation coefficient and determination which state that the magnitude of the constant variable work discipline (X) on employee performance (Y) is 0.424 or 42.4% categorized as high. So that with an increase in compensation will improve employee performance. By using the simple regression equation, it can be seen that the significant value is 0.000 <0.05, so this means that Ha is accepted, in other words that the work discipline variable has a significant influence on the performance of the Jambi Province Cooperative and UMKM Office Employees. The correlation results show that an R of 0.651 can be said to be strong, which means that discipline has a strong relationship to performance. While the results of the termination show (R2 of 0.424 or 42.4%) means that the independent variable (work discipline) is able to explain the dependent variable (performance) of 42.4%, the remaining 57.6% is explained by other variables not included in other studies.
