Abstract

ABSTRAK FEBRI WANTI/ 1900861201226/ FAKULTAS EKONOMI / HUMAN RESOURCH MANAJEMENT / THE INFLUENCE OF EMPLOYEE COMPETENCY ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AT PT. PLANTATION OF THE NUSANTARA VI PUSAT JAMBI / ADVISOR 1ST.DR. M. ZAHARI MS, SE., M.SI., 2ND SAKINAH AS SE., MM. Every organization certainly wants to achieve its goals. The role of humans involved in it is very important. To move people to fit into the desired organization, it is necessary to understand the competence of the people working in the organization, because it is this competence that determines the behavior of people to work and a person's ability to work. Competence for work is very important for the high and low performance of the company. Without the competence of employees to work together for the benefit of the company, the goals that have been set will not be achieved. This study basically aims to see the effect of competence on the performance of employees of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VI Jambi Center partially. This employee competence problem continues to be studied until this research is written to measure the level of employee performance. To answer the research objectives, the authors use theoretical studies related to research variables, namely content and performance. In addition, the authors also look for relevant previous thesis research in the form of previous and journal articles to support this research. This study used 74 respondents with analysis techniques using simple linear regression and hypothesis testing using the t test. The type of data used in this study is descriptive quantitative, namely to determine the influence of motivation that can affect work productivity. Regression aims to examine the influence relationship between one variable on another variable. The variable that is affected is called the dependent variable, while the variable that affects it is called the independent variable. From the results of data processing carried out, it was obtained that the regression payment Y = 2.028 + 0.281 X +e. Meanwhile, from the hypothesis testing carried out, it was found that competency has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of research, data analysis and discussion in this study can be interpreted that PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VI Jambi Center provides good competence to its employees, and employees also feel satisfied with the work given and the competencies received in the form of training, other attitudes. In addition, there is a positive and significant influence between competency and performance of 6.30% and the remaining 93.60% is influenced by other variables outside the research model.
