Abstract
ABSTRACT Transformational leadership style plays a very important role in employee performance. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to describe the transformational leadership style and the performance of employee performance, and to find out and analyze the effect of transformational leadership style on the employee performance at the office education and culture department of Batanghari district. Research methods in this study is descriptive and quantitative method. Data analyze use SPSS Ver 22 and using models simple linier regression with result of count Y = a+b.X+e. The distribution of questionnaires with a then the sample in this study amounted to 68 people respondent. The regression coefficient for Transformational Leadership Style (X) is 0.608, meaning that if the Transformational Leadership Style (X) experiences an increase of 1, the performance (Y) of the employees of the Batanghari Regency Education and Culture Office increases by 0.608. The correlation coefficient of the value of R = 0.545 means that Transformational Leadership Style (X) has a strong relationship with performance (Y) for employees of the Batanghari Regency Education and Culture Office which is 0.545. The coefficient of determination is known from the value of R2 = 0.307 (30.7%), which means that Transformational Leadership Style (X) is able to explain Performance (Y) to employees of the Batanghari District Education and Culture Office, namely 30.7% and the remaining 69.3% is explained by other variables not examined in this study. Such as: Discipline, Compensation, Incentives, Work Environment etc. Keyword : Transformational Leadership Style and Employee Performance
