Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the physical work environment on employee performance at the Land Office of Muaro Jambi Regency. The Muaro Jambi Regency Land Office is located in the Bukit Cinto Office Complex, Sengeti, Bukit Baling, Kec. Sekernan, Muaro Jambi Regency. The Muaro Jambi District Land Office functions as a place where the community can issue certificates (plots), raw land (plots), transfer of rights (buy-sell) and so on. The research method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method, namely to find information about symptoms, clearly define the goals to be achieved, plan an approach to collect data as material for making reports. In this study the authors made a comparison between environmental conditions on employee performance at the Muaro Jambi District Land Office. Based on the results of a simple linear analysis shows the equation Y = 9.732 + 0.726 + e the regression coefficient of the motivation variable has a positive direction on employee performance at the Land Office of Muaro Jambi Regency with a correlation value (R) is 0.504 and the determination value (r) square which states that the physical work environment variable (X) is able to explain the employee performance variable (Y) at the Land Office of Muaro Jambi Regency is 0.504 or 50.4% while 49.6% is influenced by other variables outside the variables studied, and based on the t test obtained tcount 6.531 > ttable 1.682 then the decision H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus there is a significant influence between physical work environment variables on employee performance at the Land Office of Muaro Jambi Regency. In this research, it has been proven that the physical work environment influences employee performance. The higher the physical work environment that employees have, the higher the employee's performance will be.
