Abstract

Human Resources is one of the important factors found in every company in the world. Having good human resources in a company will certainly lead to the company becoming increasingly developed. In improving employee performance, companies can take several methods, for example, through training, creating a comfortable work environment for employees, providing appropriate compensation to employees, providing motivation and through education. In order to achieve a company that functions effectively and in accordance with organizational goals, the organization must have good employee performance, namely by carrying out their duties in a reliable manner. Therefore, companies are required to be alert in analyzing and solving problems that arise or are likely to arise in employee performance. Apart from the work environment, employee work motivation can also complicate employee performance. Therefore, where the process of improving a good and comfortable work environment must be realized for employees in the company, it will also convey a motivation for each employee in improving work performance for each employee of the company. Furthermore, in explaining the research objectives, the author uses theoretical studies related to research variables, namely work environment, work motivation and employee performance. Apart from that, the author also looks for relevant previous thesis research in the form of previous articles and journals to support this research. This research used 38 respondents with analysis techniques using multiple linear regression, validity and reliability tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, coefficient of determination and hypothesis tests using the F test and T test.The type of data used in this research is quantitative descriptive, namely to determine the influence of the work environment and work motivation which can influence employee performance. Regression aims to examine the relationship between the influence of one variable on other variables. The variable that is influenced is called the dependent variable, while the variable that influences is called the independent variable. The research results prove that simultaneously the Work Environment and Work Motivation variables have a positive effect with an F value of 13.452 and a significant 0.000 on employee performance at PT.PN VI Batanghari Jambi Business Unit. Partially, the Work Environment and Work Motivation variables have a negative effect with a t value of -0.652 and a significant 0.519 on employed performance at PT.PN VI Batanghari Jambi Business Unit.
