Abstract

Sari, Tri Yulita, 2018. “The Effect of Using Clustering Technique Toward Students’ Ability in Writing Procedure Text For Accounting Students At SMK N 1 Kota Jambi Academic Year 2017/2018”. A Thesis, English Education Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Batanghari University. The first advisor, Dra. Hj. Wennyta, M.Pd. The second advisor, Khidayatul Munawwaroh, M.Pd. Keywords : Clustering Technique, Writing ability, Procedure Text The purpose is to find out whether there is significant effect of clustering technique toward students’ ability in writing procedure text for grade XI students at SMK N 1 Kota Jambi academic year 2017/2018. This research used quantitative research .The sample of this research are students of XI AK 1 and XI AK 4 at SMK N 1 Kota Jambi. The data used hypothesis test. In experimental class got the result, pre-test got the average 85,05 and post test got the average 95,55. In control class got the result, pre-test got average 85,45 and post test got average 88. While ttest 1 got 45,06tcount, ttest 2 got 2,463tcount, and ttest 3 got 17,47tcount and compared with ttable 2,101, this mean that there is effect in the students’ writing ability. The findings in this research about the effect of teaching writing by clustering technique has shown good result. The conclusion that there is significant effect of using clustering technique toward students’ ability in writing procedure text for accounting students at SMK N 1 Kota Jambi and the treatment in experimental class given good influence more than control class.
