Abstract

ABSTRACT (SYLVIA GUSNIMAR / 1600860201006 / Effect Of Educacation Level And Minimum Wage On Labor Productivity In Jambi Province / Advisor I Hj.Fathiyah S.E.M.Si Advisor II Dr. Sudirman, SE, M.Ei) The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the effect of simultaneous education and minimum wages on labor productivity in Jambi Province in 2009-2018 (2) the influence of education levels and partial minimum wages on labor productivityin Jambi Province in 2009-2018 Labor productivity is a measure of the extent to which humans or the labor force are used properly in a production process to realize the desired outputs. The research method used in this research is quantitative descriptive using secondary data. The data used in the study were obtained from relevant agencies. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the general description of Jambi Province, the workforce in Jambi Province is still dominated by workers with low education, namely (junior high school), but labor force with a first degree education and senior high school experienced a significant increase. Based on simultaneous testing (Test F) it is known that F count is greater than F table, this means that simultaneously there is a significant relationship between the independent variable (level of education and minimum wage) to the dependent variable (Labor productivity). For partial testing (t test) the conclusion is that the calculated t value is smaller in the education level variable and the minimum wage variable is the calculated t value is greater than the t table. Suggestions from this research to increase labor productivity in Jambi Province then education must be improved by providing scholarships and to increase labor productivity in Jambi Province then the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) calculation system is adjusted to the Decent Living Needs (KHL). Keywords: Education Level, Minimum Wages, Labor Productivity
