Abstract

ABSTRACT IRA FEBRIANA/ 1600861201123/ FACULTY ECONOMICS/ MANAGEMENT FINANCE/ THE EFFECT OF FREE CASH FLOW AND FUNDING STRUCTURE ON THE INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY SET IN THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY SUB-SECTOR LISTED ON THE INDONESIAN STOCK EXCHANGE PERIOD 2014-2019/ ADVISOR 1st Dr. Hj. ARNA SURYANI, M.AK, AK, CA AND ADVISOR 2nd MARISSA PUTRIANA, SE, M.E. This research was conducted in order to determine the Free Cash Flow (FCF), Operating Leverage (DOL), Financial Leverage (DFL) and Investment Opportunity Set, either simultaneously or partially during 2014-2019. The types of data used in this study are quantitative secondary data about financial statements. The data in this study was obtained from the financial statements on the Indonesia stock exchange which belongs to the chemical industry sub-sector listed on the Indonesia stock exchange period 2014-2019. Based on this analysis, 1) Free Cash Flow (FCF), Operating Leverage (DOL), Financial Leverage (DFL) to Investment Oppurtunity Set (IOS) can be inferred simultaneously, the determined F of 5,091 and F of the table of 2,79 were achieved based on the F check. Show that F is higher than table 5,091>2,79 then Ho will be refused and Ha admitted. So it can be said that the independent variables of the based on the chemical industry sub-sector listed on the Indonesia stock exchange in 2014-2019 exert a positive and substantial impact. 2) that partially Free Cash Flow (FCF), Operating Leverage (DOL), Financial Leverage (DFL) have a significant effect on Investment Oppurtunity Set (IOS) by comparing the magnitude of this research with a sense level of 0,05, it is understood that this attribute has a significant effect on Investment Oppurtunity Set (IOS).
