Abstract
ABSTRACT Amrina, Nela. (2020). “The Implementation of the BEDSRA Teaching Strategy for English Preposition of Eight Grade of SMP N 021 Kota Jambi Academic Year 2019/2020”. A Thesis, English Education Study Program. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. University of Batanghari: Jambi. Advisor : Yanti Ismiyati, M. Pd. and Co-Advisor : Dr. Suyadi, S. Pd., MA. Keyword : BEDSRA Teaching Strategy, English Preposition. This experiment conducted in VIII B class who attended 22 students from 31 total students. The test will find the calculating of Percentage, Mean, and Standar Deviation and for the last result to suitable the experiment will used t-test in this research. Based on the data showed that the sample and population of the students in VIII B of SMP N 021 Kota Jambi. The post-test results showed that the mean score of post-test was 70 with the lower score in the post-test was 45 and the highest score was 95. Thus, the students have a big impact in learning process of two methods in this research to continues their study by the teacher given BEDSRA learning strategy. Eventhough, in pre-test the students got failed, but BEDSRA learning strategy in post-test more acceptable for students. As the results, the calculation in this research showed that tcount = 0,05 and ttable = 1,720 so that ttable > tcount, and the result of this hypothesis in this research were H1 accepted and H0 rejected. In this case showed that the students have a skills in the last test and the results were better in the post-test before using Bedsra learning strategy in the pre-test. The researcher suggested for the english teacher should be creative in explaining the material of English in order to stimulate the student’s interests to learning English and also suggested for the next researcher who wants to develops all information and knowledge about english learning strategy especially in BEDSRA learning strategy to continue the implementation in the school as a discipline to make the students more interest in english.
