Abstract

ANGGA MAULANA / 1700861201287/ Faculty of University Economic Batanghari Jambi/ Management/ The Effect of Work Motivation and job satisfaction on The Performance of Employees in Public Companies Tirta Mayang Jambi City/ 1st Advisor Nuraini SE, MM, / 2nd Advisor Muhammad Emil SE, MM Drinking water companies in Indonesia work as clean water providers for all regions in Indonesia. The company is managed by executive and legislative officers in each region. Each region has its own regional drinking water company (PDAM). PDAMs exist in every province, municipality and district throughout Indonesia. The sample used was 55 people who became respondents. Data collection methods in this study were interviews, questionnaires and literature study. Methods of data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis, verification. While the hypothesis test used is multiple linear regression analysis, t test, f test, classical assumption test, and the coefficient of determination. Erwin Jaya Zuchri, ST. as president director of Public Company of Tirta Mayang Drinking Water Area of Jambi City. The implementation of piped drinking water supply in Jambi City began during the Dutch East Indies government in 1928. Staadfords or the city government at that time established a waterleiding bedrijf with a capacity of 7 liters/second, then with the Decree of the Mayor of the Jambi Regional Head No. 25/X/1974 dated March 17, 1974 was designated as a Regional Drinking Water Company Data processing in this study using the software program SPSS 22.00 for Windows. Partial testing of job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Based on the results of research conducted from this simulant test that work motivation and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The t-count value of the motivation variable (X1) is 2.724 and the t-table is 2.005. From the comparison results, it can be seen that t-count is greater than ttable (2.724 > 2.005), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The tcount value of the job satisfaction variable (X2) is 4.826 and ttable is 2.005 from the comparison results, it can be seen that tcount is greater than ttable (4.826 > 2.005). Simultaneous testing criteria by comparing Fcount with Ftable at a significant level = 0.05. Thus, Fcount of 36.332 > Ftable of 3.16 means that there is a significant influence between the variables of motivation and job satisfaction together on the performance of PERUMDA Air Tirta Mayang employees, Jambi City.
