Abstract
ABSTRACK ANGGITA / 1700861201281 / BATANGHARI UNIVERSITY / MANAGEMENT ECONOMICS / THE INFLUENCE OF LEADERSHIP STYLE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AT THE REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL SECRETARIAT OFFICE OF JAMBI PROVINCE / ADVISOR I NURAINI, SE, MM / SUPERVISOR 2 MUHAMMAD EMIL, SE, MM The leadership style plays a very important role in an organization. Therefore, a leadership style is needed by humans, because there are certain limitations of human beings. Leadership style is defined as individual characteristics, being friendly, caring for subordinates, communicating, respecting each other, setting goals and encouraging employees to achieve good results. In this research, the method used is descriptive and qualitative with leadership style independent variables and employee performance dependent variables. The research object was 63 people. This research was conducted using an observational survey (field observation) by making a questionnaire and then giving responsibility to the respondent to answer the questions that have been provided and to provide responses to the questions asked by the participants, both regarding the purpose of the survey itself or the questions that have been provided. if it is not understood by the participants. The council secretary in the DPRD Provincial DPRD secretariat office has the task of assisting the Governor in carrying out secretarial administration, financial administration, supporting the implementation of the DPRD's duties and functions and providing and coordinating the experts needed by the DPRD according to the regional financial capacity. Based on the results of simple linear regression, the equation Y = 1.075 + 0.731 X The correlation coefficient between leadership style (X) and performance (Y) is 0.681, meaning that there is a good or moderate relationship between leadership style (X) and employee performance (Y). From the results of hypothesis examiners, the value (Determination) = r2 of 0.464 is obtained. This figure states that the leadership style variable (X) is able to explain the variable (Y) or employee performance by 46.4%, on the other hand 53.6% is caused by other variables outside the variable researched. Leadership style has a positive effect on employee performance at the Jambi Province DPRD Secretariat Office with a large influence of 0,731. This means that if there is an increase of 1% in the leadership style, the performance will increase by 0,731% based on the significant effect hypothesis test. Hypothesis-based test, leadership style has a significant effect on employee performance at the Jambi Provincial DPRD Secretariat Office. This is evidenced by t (7,261> 1.9996). vi KATA PENGANTAR
