Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of POC Nasa on the growth of Betara areca nut (Areca catechu L) seedlings. This research was conducted on campus II, Batanghari University Jambi (Pijoan). This research was carried out for 3 months from February 2022-May 2022. The plants used were 3 months old areca nut seeds. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment design used NASA POC concentration consisting of 5 concentrations as follows: p 0 = control, p 1 = 1 cc L -1 water, p 2 = 2 cc L -1 water, p 3 = 3 cc L = 4 cc L -1 water. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so there were 15 experimental plots. The number of plants in each plot was 5 plants, 3 plants were taken as samples, so the total number was 75 plants. Parameters observed included: Plant Height (cm), Stem Diameter (mm), Top Dry Weight (g), Root Dry Weight (g), Root Root Ratio and Quality Index. Based on the research and the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that: The application of Nasa liquid organic fertilizer has a significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, canopy dry weight, root dry weight, root crown ratio and quality index of betara betel nut. The application of Nasa liquid organic fertilizer with a concentration of p 4 water) showed the highest average value for the observed parameters. The p4 treatment increased plant height by 13.10%, stem diameter by 54.54%, dry weight of plant crown by 108%, and dry weight of plant roots by 114%, seed quality index of 193.61% and root crown ratio of 18 ,36% compared to p 0
