Abstract
ABSTRACT Chastity Delania Daeli/ 1800861201115/ 2022/ The Influence Of Profitability Ratio On Profit Growth In State-Owned Banks Listed On the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) In 2016-2020/ 1 st Advisor Hj. Atikah, S.E, M.M./ 2 nd Advisor Ira Febrianti, S.E, M.S.Ak. The goal of this research is to look at the impact of profitability ratios on profit growth in Indonesian government banks from 2016 to 2020. In addition, from 2016 to 2020, examine the impact of the profitability ratio on profit growth in government banks listed on the Indonesia stock exchange. The data used for this study comes from the Indonesian Stock Exchange's official website. The outcomes of the normality test can be concluded that the residuals are normally distributed at 0.998 > 0.05 using analytical tools such as Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, Classical Assumption Test: Normality Test, Multicollinearity Test, Heteroscedasticity Test, Auto Correlation Test, Hypothesis Testing: F Test, T-Test, and the Coefficient of Determination of the results of the normality test. In this research, researchers used Indonesian government banks as the object for this research and used state-owned banks’ financial statement from 2016 to 2020. This Indonesian government banks consists of four companies, consisting of PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk, PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia, PT. Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk and PT. Bank Mandiri Tbk. The coefficients for the independent variables X 1 = -0.546, X 2 = 0.427, X 3 = -0.155, and a constant of -3.039 were obtained from multiple linear regression analysis with panel data, actually results in the multiple linear regression equation model with panel data: Y = -3.039 – 0.546X 1 + 0.427X 2 – 0.155X 3 + e. The F test shows that F count is 5.718 and F table is 3.24, with F count is bigger than F table (5.718 > 3.24), showing that there is a simultaneous correlation among Return On Assets, Return On Equity, Net Profit Margin and Profit Growth. Return On Assets, Return On Equity, and Net Profit Margin had no influence on profit growth at state-owned banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2020, according to the t-test results. According to the F test, in the period 2016-2020, Return On Assets, Return On Equity, and Net Profit Margin all have a significant impact on profit growth at state-owned banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with F count greater than F table (5.718 > 3.24) and a coefficient of determination of 0.609 or 60.9 %, which means that the contribution of the independent variables, namely Return On Assets, Return On Equity, Net Profit Margin affects the dependent variable Profit Growth by 60.9%. And based on the results of the t-test, it can be seen that partially Return On Assets, Return On Equity, Net Profit Margin have no effect on Profit Growth
