Abstract

Therefore, in choosing a company, an investor needs careful consideration, such as the company has a good opportunity to grow, the company has a positive policy because of strong managerial ownership, and the company is able to generate good profitability The type of data used in this study is secondary sourced from the annual financial statements of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016-202. With these three things, an investor will have more flexibility in determining expectations The population in this study is all banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016-2020 which amounted to 39 companies. While the sample in this study is as many as 24 banking companies. Data analysis is done using multiple regression analysis. The main characteristics of the banking industry are selling financial services products, such as credit distribution, customer fund management, savings, pawns, and. other financial transactions. Banking companies belonging to the financial industry group. The results of the study have a F numeric value of 6,489 or greater than the value of F table 2.68. It can be analyzed that the significance level is 0.000a or less than 0.05 Based on the results of research it can be concluded that the variables of growth opportunities, managerial ownership, and profitability simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on unexpected earnings. Variables of growth opportunities and profitability partially have a significant effect on unexpected earnings. The partial managerial ownership variable is insignificant to unexpected earnings.
