Abstract

ABSTRACT You Young / 1500861201430 / 2021 / Faculty of Management Economics / The influence of Discipline on the Performance of employees in the production department at PT. Berkat Sawit Utama Sungai Bahar / Mentor I Dr. H. Saiyid Syekh, M.Si Mentor II Muhammad Emil, SE, MM This study aims to determine the influence of work discipline with employee performance, where the subject of research is employees of PT. Berkat Sawit Utama Sungai Bahar, amounting to 55 people. Sampling is done by total sampling technique (whole sample). The hypothesis proposed in this research is there is a positive relationship between work discipline and employee performance. That is, the higher the work discipline owned by employees of PT. Berkat Sawit Utama then the higher the employee performance, otherwise the lower the work discipline of the employees of PT. Berkat Sawit Utama then the lower performance of employees. In an effort to prove the hypothesis, used method of data correlation analysis Product Moment, where based on data processing, obtained the results as follows. There is a high significant relationship between work discipline and employee performance. This means that the higher the discipline of work, the higher the employee performance and vice versa the lower the work discipline the lower the employee performance. Based on this analysis, it is explained etc the result of the calculation of the simple linear regression equation obtained are as follows Y =0,987 + 0,585.X. This equation shows that the disciplined regression coefficient has a positive direction on the performance of of PT. Berkat Sawit Utama main employees in the production division of Sungai Bahar. Discipline regression coefficient (X) is 0,585, meaning that if discipline (X) has increased by 1% the performance (Y) has increased by 0,585 %. The coefficient of determination is known from the value of r = 0,585 (58%) which means that discipline (X) is able to explain the performance (Y) of the employees is 58% the remaining 42% is influenced by other factors not examined.
