Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of Prediction of Bankruptcy of a Company Using Altman Z-Score Method and Springate Method Case Study at PT. ULTRA JAYA MILK & PT. INDOFOOD SUKSES MAKMUR TBK Period 20142021. The objectives of this study are (1) to find out and explain the differences in the calculation of bankruptcy analysis using the Altman Z-Score method and the Springate method at PT. Ultra Jaya Milk Industry and Trading Company, Tbk and PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk period 2016-2020. (2) To find out and explain the financial condition rating using the Altman Z-Score method and the Springate method at PT. Ultra Jaya Milk Tbk and PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk period 2014-2021. This study uses quantitative research methods. The formula used in this study in the Altman Z-Score model The data analysis used descriptive analysis. The tests carried out in this study were the normality test and the difference test (Mann Whiteney U test).This study uses the Spss application to obtain the results of the data being normally distributed or not. The results of the normality test are indicated by a significant value > 0.05 or 0.067 and 0.316. There is a difference between the Altman and Springate models in predicting bankruptcy. This is supported by the results of the test. This difference can be seen from the Mann-Whiteney U test, it is known that the mean value of the Altman model is 20.06 higher than the Springate model, which is 12.94. smaller than <0.05, which is 0.032, which means that there is a difference in assessment between the two models. Based on these results, it is known that H1 is accepted. In addition, the difference test is indicated by a significant value <0.05 or equal to 0.032, so according to the basis for taking the decision Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is a difference between the Altman method and the Springate method.
