Abstract

ABSTRACT Heriyanti Wulan Putri/ 1900861201188/Faculty of Economy/Financial Management/2023/Effect of Working Capital and Inventory turnover on Stock Prices through Return On Assets in the Pharmaceutical Industry Sub-Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) Period 2017-2022/1st Advisor Mrs.Dr.Hj.Arna Suryani,S.E,M.Ak,Ak,CA,CMA/2nd Advisor Mrs.Hana Tamara,S.E.,M.M This study aims to determine the effect of working capital and inventory turnover on stock prices through Return On Assets in Pharmaceutical Industry Sub-Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2017-2022. This study is not only for the analysis of simultaneous and partial effects but also direct and indirect effects. This study uses secondary data and the type of data used is quantitative data. Methods of data collection with literature study. The analysis of this research uses path analysis with the SPSS v.25 program. This research is a census research, which means that all populations use a sample. The sample is a pharmaceutical Industry Sub-Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2017-2022. There are 6 companies that will be used in this study. The results showed that working capital and inventory turnover simultaneously had a significant effect on Return On Asset. Working capital has a partial and insignificant effect on Return On Assets, Inventory Turnover has a partial and significant effect on Return On Assets. Working Capital and Inventory Turnover simultaneously and significantly affect the Stock Price. return on assets partially has no effect and is not significant on stock prices. The results of the path analysis test are working capital and inventory turnover through Profitability (Return On Assets) on stock prices is 2.48%, so it can be concluded that Profitability (Return on Assets) mediates the effect of working capital and inventory turnover on stock prices in Pharmaceutical Industry Sub-Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2017-2022.
