Abstract

ABSTRACT (DEVITA RAMADHANI/ 1900861201191 / 2023 / THE INFLUENCE OF LEADERSHIP STYLE ON THE JOB SATISFACTION OF EDUCATORS AND EDUCATION AT SMP NEGERI 9 KOTA JAMBI / SUPERVISOR I Dr. OSRITA HAPSARA, S.E, M.M / SUPERVISOR II GUPRON S.Kom, M.Kom) Leadership style has an important role on employee job satisfaction. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to describe leadership style and job satisfaction, as well as to find out and analyze the effect of leadership style on the job satisfaction of educators and education at SMP Negeri 9 Jambi City. The research method in this study is a quantitative method. Data analysis used SPSS Ver 22 and used a simple linear regression model with the results calculated Y = 0.571+0.520X+e. Test of determination with R2 of 8.8%. Ttest with a ratio of tcount 2.298 > ttable 2.00404 then Ho is rejected Hi is accepted. To analyze the effect of leadership style on the job satisfaction of educators and education at SMP Negeri 9 Jambi City. Distributing questionnaires to a population of 57 people in 2022, the sample in this study used the census method, namely the entire population was sampled, so that the sample in this study consisted of 57 respondents. The regression coefficient for leadership style (X) is 0.520, meaning that leadership style (X) has increased by 1%, so that job satisfaction (Y) for SMP Negeri 9 Jambi City. The coefficient of determination is known from the value of R2 = 0.088 (8.8%) which means that leadership style (X) is able to explain job satisfaction (Y) at SMP Negeri 9 Jambi City, which is equal to 8.8% and the remaining 91.2% is influenced by other variables which were not examined in this study. Based on the ttest, the calculated tcount value is 2.298 and the ttable value is 2.00404. From the results of the comparison it can be seen that the test with a comparison of tcount 2.298 > ttable 2.00404 then Ho is rejected Hi is accepted. This means that the leadership style influences the job satisfaction of educators and education at SMP Negeri 9 Jambi City. Keywords : Leadership Style, Job Satisfaction
