Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze how the effect of Current Ratio, Return On Assets, Debt to Asset Ratio, Total Asset Turnover and Cash Flow simultaneously and partially on Financial Distress in the Textile and Garment Industry Sub-Sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2021 period. The research methodology is a quantitative descriptive method. The data used is secondary data. The population that is the object of this research is the textile and garment industry sub-sector companies during 2017-2021. The number of samples used is 9 (nine) industrial companies and consistently listed and has a complete research indicator reports in the year report during 2017-2021. And Classical Assumption Test, Multiple Linear Regression and Hypothesis Test. The object of this research is the textile and garment industry subsector for the 2017-2021 period. The textile and garment industry processes raw materials in the form of fibers which are processed into threads and fabrics and even processes them into finished garments. Companies that are active in the field of textiles and garments are companies that produce a thousand products in the form of clothes needed by consumers and even materials used in making clothes. The results of the multiple regression equation Y = 6.155+0.339X1+2.261X2-4.385X3-2.246X4-0.114X5+e, from the results of the F test it is known that Current Ratio, Return On Assets, Debt to Asset Ratio, Total Asset Turnover, and Cash Flow simultaneously affect Financial Distress. Evidenced by Fcount > Ftable (15,329> 2,50). The coefficient of determination of 66.3% indicates the magnitude of the independent variable's contribution to the dependent variable. Based on the results of the t test only 3 (three) independent variables that affect the dependent variable where Return On Assets has a significant effect on Financial Distress, Debt to Asset Ratio has a significant negative effect on Financial Distress and Total Asset Turnover has a significant negative effect on Financial Distress. The conclusion is that simultaneously the Current Ratio, Return On Assets, Debt to Asset Ratio, Total Asset Turnover, and Operating Cash Flow have a significant effect on Financial Distress. Result of the t test, Return On Assets has a significant effect on Financial Distress. And Debt to Asset Ratio and Total Asset Turnover have a significant negative effect on Financial Distress.
