Abstract
ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are as follows To know and describe the discipline and performance of employees at PT. Harapan Makmur Jaya Perkasa Jambi City. To find out and analyze the influence of discipline on employee performance at PT. Harapan Makmur Jaya Perkasa Jambi City The type of data needed and collected in this study is quantitative data. The object of this research is the employees of PT. Harapan Makmur Jaya Perkasa Jambi City. The population of this study are employees at PT. Harapan Makmur Jaya Perkasa, City of Jambi, totaling 122 people. The number of samples to be taken is as many as 55 respondents. The sampling technique was carried out using non-probability simple random sampling. PT. Harapan Makmur Jaya Perkasa Jambi City is an intermediary company that distributes Rose Brand products from producers to retailers and consumers or can be called distributors. Centered on Jalan Lkr. Timur II, Payo Selincah, East Jambi District, Jambi City. PT. Harapan Makmur Jaya Perkasa Jambi City was first established on August 12, 2008. Based on the results of the simple linear regression test, it can be obtained that the coefficient for the independent variable X = 0.702 is a constant of 0.854 so that the simple linear regression equation model is obtained Y = 0,854 + 0,702X. The value of the correlation coefficient (r) of the independent variable is 0.704. This value indicates that the relationship between discipline and employee performance at pt. Hope for Prosperous Jaya Perkasa Jambi City is Strong, namely 0.704. In the t hypothesis test, discipline has a significant effect on the performance of employees of PT. Harapan Makmur Jaya Perkasa Jambi City. The value of tcount is greater than ttable (7,218 > 2005). With a significant level of 0.05 then 0.000 <0.05 so it can be said that there is a significant influence between discipline on employee performance.
