Abstract
The purpose of this study is to effect of inflation, rupiah exchange rate, and net profit affect the share price of cosmetics and household supplies sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period of 2016–2022, simultaneously and partially. This research is a quantitative descriptive study and the analytical tool used in this study is a multiple linear regression equation. Data anaylis was carried out through several stages of data analysis, including the following: (1) Normality test, (2) Multicolinearity test, (3) Heteroscedasticity test, (4) Autocorrelation test, (5) Multiple linear regression equations, (6) Hypothesis test statistic with F test, T test, and Coefficient of Determination test. The population of this study were companies engaged in the cosmetics and household equipment subsector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016-2022, using a purposive sampling technique, 4 companies were obtained that met the criteria in this study, namely as follow: (1) PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR), (2) PT Akasha Wira International Tbk (ADES), (3) PT Mustika Ratu Tbk (MRAT), and (4) PT Mandom Indonesia Tbk (TCID). The cosmetics and household use sub-sector company is part of one of the consumer goods industry sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange which is engaged in the production of cosmetics, fragrances, hair care, food and beverage products, home care products, and care products Multiple linear regression analysis model to perform hypothesis testing. Based on the SPSS results, the equation of the multiple linear regression analysis model obtained is Y = 21,693 + 1,24X1– 1,196X2 + 0,261X3. Based on the results of the F test, the calculated F value is 3,312 and the F table value is 3,010 so that the results are 3,312 > 3,010 and a significant value of 0,037 is less than. 0,05, so it can be said that inflation, rupiah exchange rate, and net profit significantly and together affect the share price. Meanwhile, based on the results of the T test, the inflation variable shows t count 0,380 with a significant value of 0,707, the rupiah exchange rate variable shows t count -0,235 with a significant value of 0,816, the net profit variable shows t count 2,833 with a significant value 0,009, which means that the inflation and rupiah exchange rate variables have no significant effect on share price, while net profit variables has a significant effect on share price. In conclusion, the R Squared value of 29,3% of the share price variable can be explained by 3 independent variables namely inflation, rupiah exchange rate, and net profit. While the remaining 70,7% is explained by variables other than inflation, rupiah exchange rate, and net profit.
