Abstract

ABSTRACT Children are inseparable part of the durability of human existence and the management of a nation and state. In the Indonesian constitution, children hava a important task which clearly states that the state guarantees the rights of every child for continuity and is an asset of human resources to become the nation’s successor so that the future of children must be considered properly. As the nation’s successor, children deserve to be cared for, especially from their parents. Children are included in the group of people who are not yet adults who are still in guardianship and are not able to carry out legal actions. Crimes and criminal acts have become different social issues for society and until now there are manycome different social issues for society and until now there are many criminal cases that occur where the prepetrator is not only an adult but also a child. Not a few children are associated with crimes, one of which is persecution. In this case, we will discuss the crime of child abuse. There are five types of criminal acts of persecution, from ordinary persecution to severe persecution, which are planned to be regulated in Articles 351-355 of the Criminal Code. Here we will discuss 2 things related to criminal acts of abuse committed by children, namely what are the factors causing the occurence of criminal acts of abuse committed by children in Jambi City? And how are the efforts to overcome criminal acts of abuse committed in the city of Jambi which are discussed in the title of the thesis. This type of research is descriptive analysis.
