Abstract

ABSTRACK The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Work Conflict variable on Work Productivity in Jambi City Civil Service and Civil Registry employees, and to see how the characteristics of employee respondents at the Jambi City Population and Civil Registry Service. This study consisted of two variables, namely work conflict as the independent variable and productivity as the dependent variable. Objects in this study were employees of the Jambi City Population and Civil Registry Office with 95 respondents. This type of research is quantitative research, using a closed questionnaire as a research instrument, the scale used in this study is the linkert scale, which is the scale used to calculate the score of respondents' answers using numbers 1 to 5. The data processed in this study are direct primary data. obtained from respondents. Then processed using the SPSS.24 application. The analytical tools used include testing the question instrument in the questionnaire, which uses validity and reliability tests. To see the effect between variables, the researcher used a simple linear regression analysis tool, and to see how big the effect was, the Adjust R Square test was used. The results of this study indicate that: Based on the characteristics of the respondents based on age, the average age of the respondents is 25 to 29 years old. Based on gender, it is found that the most dominant respondents are female respondents. Based on education, the average respondent is undergraduate education, and the respondent's working period of 4 to 5 years dominates the number of respondents. And based on the results of questionnaire data processing, it is concluded that the level of conflict and the level of productivity at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Jambi City is high with an average of 381.5 for conflict and 408 for the level of productivity. Based on the results of simple linear regression, the results show that work conflict has a positive effect on the level of employee productivity at the Jambi City Population and Civil Registry Service.
