Abstract

ABSTRACT R.A Dinda Intania / 1700861201145/ Faculty of University Economic Batanghari Jambi/ Management/ The Effect of Work Discipline on The Performance of Employees in Public Companies Tirta Mayang Jambi City/ 1st Advisor (Hj. Reni Devita, SE, MM) / 2nd Advisor (Ubaidillah, SE, MM) Public Company of Tirta Mayang Drinking Water Area of Jambi City as one of the institutions of clean water service to the people of Jambi City, this research aims to determine the partial influence of occupational discipline variables on employee performance in Public Companies of Tirta Mayang Drinking Water Area of Jambi City. From the initial data the number of employees at the Public Company of Tirta Mayang Drinking Water District of Jambi City continues to decline from 2015-2019 with a total of 330 employees. The sample used as many as 77 people who were respondents. The data collection methods in this study are interviews, questionnaires and library studies. Data analysis methods use descriptive statistical analysis. While the hypothesis test used is simple linear regression analysis, t test, correlation coefficient and determination coefficient. Erwin Jaya Zuchri, ST. as president director of Public Company of Tirta Mayang Drinking Water Area of Jambi City. This company serves as providing quality water services and sufficient quantities at affordable rates, which is located at Jl. Letkol Slamet Riyadi No.1 Jambi City, Zip code 3612, tel. 0741-7550122, fax. 0741-22031, www.tirtamayang.com, email: sekper@tirtamayang.com Data processing in this study using software program spss 22.00 for windows. Partial testing of work disciplines positively and significantly affects employee performance. Based on the results of the research conducted from this partial test test that the work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of this study are known that from the test results t work discipline variables amounted to 3,911 with a table t value of 1,992 or 3,911 > 1,992. So t calculate > t table, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted which means that independent variables have a positive and significant effect on dependent variables. The coefficient of determination of 0.175 or 17.5% is illustrated that there is a 17.5% influence of work discipline on employee performance, and the remaining 82.5% is influenced by other variables not studied in the study.
