Abstract

Organizational performance in principle is the result of a series of several activities, including the contribution of employee performance and productivity. To build performance and productivity requires a long process. Many things can affect a person's performance, the factor that greatly affects a person's performance is workload. Workload is one aspect that needs to be considered by every organization because one that affects performance is workload. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of workload on Performance Employees in Department of Transportation on Jambi City (Case Study of Parking Retribution in Jambi City). The population in this study were field employees of the Jambi City Transportation Service, namely as many as 116 people and the sample was calculated using the slovin formula, namely as many as 54 respondents. The method in this study is multiple linear regression using the SPSS software analysis tool. The regression coefficient value in this study is Y = 19.538 + 0.482 BK, meaning that the constant value is 19.538 (positive) meaning that if Workload (X) is 0 (zero), then Performance (Y) will be constant. worth 19,538 . The regression coefficient value of the Workload (X) variable is 0.482 (positive), the positive direction indicates that changes in Performance will be in the same direction as changes in the Workload variable, where if Workload increases, then Performance also will increase. And the results of the t test, namely the calculated t value of the Workload variable (X), obtained a significance level of 6.046 > t table of 2.004 and sig. 0.000 < 0.05. This means that workload (X) has a significant effect on performance (Y). Based on the results of the correlation correlation on the correlation analysis shows that there is a relationship between the workload variable and performance with a moderate correlation meaning that the workload value is high, the performance of Jambi City Transportation Service Employees decreases and vice versa. if the value of workload is low, the performance of the Jambi City Transportation Service Employee will increase.
