Abstract

Keywords: Means-Ends Analysis (MEA), Student Understanding. This research aims to: 1) To find out the description of the understanding of class, 2) To find out an overview of the application of the means (means-ends analysis) learning model for class XI in economics subjects at SMAN 15 Muaro Jambi, 3) To find out the application of the class XI MEA (means-ends analysis) learning model in economics subjects at SMAN 15 Muaro Jambi. This research design uses quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 22 class XI students, while the analysis technique used in this research used descriptive analysis and a test of equality of two means. The results of this study show that, 1) Class students, this can be proven from the results obtained from the average score of students who passed above the KKM in the post-test of 63.63%, 3) The use of means-ends analysis learning models and conventional learning has differences in student understanding , this can be proven based on the results of the calculated t test value which is greater than the t array, as well as the calculated f value which exceeds the calculated f array. With a significant calculated t value and a calculated f value exceeding the calculated f value.
