Abstract
Providing sufficient incentives can motivate employees to work better so that employees are enthusiastic about working in an effort to achieve agency goals by offering financial incentives that exceed their basic salary. Incentives are not only in the form of material things but usually also in the form of promotions. If employees are able to work according to the workload given to them, and redesign jobs so that employees have more decision choices and authority to carry out their responsibilities. Providing incentives is intended to meet the needs of employees and their families. Incentives are a tool used by supporters of fair principles in providing compensation. Human resources who are reliable or who have competence and are placed in the right positions will improve agency performance. The success of an agency is also greatly influenced by the individual performance of each employee. Every agency will always try to improve employee performance to achieve agency goals. This research method is descriptive quantitative using simple regression analysis. Research data was obtained from respondents through a questionnaire with a total of 62 employees as respondents. Statistical analysis was carried out using the SPSS 25.0 program. The results obtained show that the significance value of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05. Then the Adjusted R Square value is 0.544 or 54.4%. This means that the independent variable (incentive) influences the dependent variable (employee performance) by 54.4% and the remainder is influenced by other variables not included in the research. The conclusion from this research is that the incentive variable at the Jambi Province Transportation Service is good, while the employee performance variable at the Jambi Province Transportation Service is high. Then incentives have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This means that incentives are able to influence the performance of employees at the Jambi Province Transportation Service.
